Next-generation smart office solution that solves free address issues

Due to the effects of remote work during the coronavirus pandemic, there has been a rapid increase in the number of companies offering free address seating in their offices. The main purpose is to make effective use of space and stimulate communication, but there are also problems such as not knowing which seats are available.

This article introduces solutions provided by Macnica to create next-generation smart offices.

Do you have any of the following problems?

  • I want to visualize the usage status of seats, but I don't want to go so far as to identify individuals for privacy reasons.
  • I'm looking for a service that includes not only devices but also cloud services.
  • I want to visualize the work environment as well as the seat usage status.

Overview of solutions provided by Macnica

Macnica realized this solution by combining Infineon's semiconductor products with Clean Watts' cloud services.
By detecting the presence of people using Infineon's 60GHz millimeter wave radar and visualizing the information using KisenseⓇ, a cloud service by Clean Watts, it is possible to check the usage status of seats without identifying individuals. is possible.

Additionally, a CO2 sensor can be installed as an option, making it suitable for office environmental monitoring.

The size of the casing is 60 x 80 x 180 mm, and the board inside is composed of Infineon's IC chip.
In addition to the 60GHz millimeter-wave radar, it also uses Infineon's PSoC™, a low-power MCU for IoT, and a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo chip.

Macnica also handles vendors such as AzureWave (Taiwan) that make these IC chips into modules, so if there is a product you are interested in, we can introduce it to you individually.
