- CrowdANALYTIX's approach to data protection depends on the level of sensitivity of the data it handles.
- Publicly available data is shared without restriction with the community of CrowdANALYTIX solvers (members of the CrowdANALYTIX community).
- Non-classified data, such as sensor data, network data, and resource data, are usually shared after being anonymized and approved by the customer. Handle confidential and non-public data securely in one of the following ways:
- Data that customers may share with CrowdANALYTIX but do not wish to share with the solver community will be shared as simulated data. A solver builds the reference model and is coordinated by an in-house team.
- For data that is not allowed to leave your firewall, CrowdANALYTIX's platform sits behind your firewall, ensuring that all data and models remain only on your server. No data traverses the firewall except metrics. See architecture below.
Intellectual property protection
Legal aspects
All solvers in the CrowdANALYTIX community sign an agreement that the intellectual property of all solutions they build and get paid for will be transferred to CrowdANALYTIX. Instead, CrowdANALYTIX assumes subsequent legal liability related to these models. As a result, CrowdANALYTIX. is legally responsible and liable for model protection. If required, Solver can also sign further clauses on a case-by-case basis upon customer-specific requirements.

The way the Company solutions are built is by customizing pre-built components from the Company API library, or by building a few independent models and putting them together into a final AI solution.
In either case, solvers either don't know exactly what the problem they are trying to solve are, or they have access to only a small part of the solution. The models they develop are inoperable unless they have access to the necessary input data, and the input data underlying the model is transformed using scripts that only CrowdANALYTIX has access to. As a result, individual solvers and solver teams are never allowed to duplicate solutions for any reason.
